The four charming Kaiser villages of Ellmau, Going, Scheffau and Söll provide a number of familiar filming locations for the series, including the Gruberhof house, the Bergdoktor surgery and the Wilder Kaiser inn. A visit to these locations allows you to take a look behind the scenes of the successful TV series and experience the life of the Bergdoktor on the Wilder Kaiser up close. You can do this on foot starting at the Alpin in Scheffau, our “Bergdoktor” hotel, by bike or take the Bergdoktor e-bike tour and get a little electric help.
