The imperial trail-running event: Kaiserkrone Trail 2022

On 24 and 25 June 2022, you can experience a sporting highlight in Scheffau: the Kaiserkrone Trail. Five races spread over two days will push beginners and seasoned trail runners alike to their limits.

Since 2020, the Kaiserkrone Trail has been one of the absolute highlights in trail-running circles, bringing top athletes from the international running scene to Scheffau every year. A total of five trails, 115 kilometres, and 8,460 metres in vertical distance are waiting to be conquered around and on the Wilder Kaiser mountain range. With approx. 20km (Speed Trail), 25km (Kaiserkrone Skyrace), and 56km (Marathon Trail), the distances alone are a real challenge. During the fifth race, the kids’ trail, young runners can enjoy their first experience of trail running over distances of 500m and 1,000m.

The starting point for all five races is Scheffau village centre, just a few minutes away from Das Alpin, your hotel for summer holidays in the Alps. As well as the start and finish line, spectators of all ages will be treated to an exciting event programme during the Kaiserkrone After-Race Party.
