The cult series filmed in the Wilder Kaiser area

Join us for a tour around the most beautiful filming locations of the cult German-language TV series “Bergdoktor” and let yourself be enchanted by the indescribably beautiful mountain scenery around Scheffau.

The German-language TV series “Bergdoktor” has been filmed in the area immediately around our Wilder Kaiser accommodation since 2008, with Hans Sigl in the starring role. And there’s no wonder: The unbelievably beautiful mountain landscapes around Das Alpin offer the perfect setting for the successful series. Join us as we take a look behind the scenes and take you along to the most beautiful filming locations.

Of course, we begin at the practice of Dr Martin Gruber. This can be visited every Tuesday and Friday at Hinterschnabel farm in Ellmau.

Then, we make our way to Köpfing farm in Söll, where the fictional home of the Gruber family is located. Fans will find a real highlight here: a tractor tour including a visit to the set.

Our last stop is the village square in Going am Wilden Kaiser. The picturesque village with its stone fountain in the middle of the square was used for numerous outdoor shots.
